Functional electrical stimulation is a technique which enables people with ambulatory challenges, such as stroke patients, injection palsy patients, etc, to walk with less difficulty.

This functional electrical stimulator acts on the ankle dorsiflexors during ambulation through pressure sensors placed under the heel of the affected side.

It is easily worn by a belt clip and turned off when not walking.
